
Behind Sveti Stefan
Four years ago, Marta and Pati had the dream of starting this project, which they named Sveti Stefan. A brand that began in the middle of the pandemic and has since established itself with great style and a unique essence. A few weeks ago, we achieved another great milestone: 100,000 followers on Instagram. In addition to thanking you from the bottom of our hearts for this great community we've formed and for continuing to grow with us every day, we also want you to know the work and love we put into this project from the inside out. That's why Marta, one of the founders, answers a few questions about Sveti Stefan's journey to date.

Has your brand's inspiration or style remained the same even as the company has grown?
Yes, for me, the image of Svetis remains the same! More than anything because it's part of our identity, an identity that served as a foundation, and that doesn't have to change. Maintaining the same, unified brand identity and image over the years is very important to us. We're always looking for improvements, but without losing sight of that original essence.
With so much competition in the fashion world, what would you say sets you apart from other brands?
A company entails a lot of work behind the scenes, and work that has to be done well from start to finish. We try to take care of every process behind Svetis. Regarding the product, I'd say that passion and care are evident in the design, quality, and attention to detail. Coupled with that is also the authenticity and personality for which we're known. Our goal isn't to mass-produce and sweep the market, but rather to make durable clothing and shoes with personality. Another aspect we work hard on is customer service and making them feel part of this family. Overall, Svetis' vision has been carried out by a team eager to grow and take this project further.
Looking back, What has been the biggest challenge you've had since starting Svetis?
For us, one of the biggest challenges has been persevering over the years in the face of such tough competition that we have to deal with every day. Despite this, we always move forward and will continue creating products that differentiate us and set the pace for continued success.
What are three things you would call essential for the growth of a brand?
For me, these three things have been essential for the growth of Svetis:
1. Be a hard-working person with a lot of consistency and perseverance.
2. Be very creative but also be an organized and tidy person.
3. Know how to delegate so you can take care of other areas of the business, which leads to greater efficiency and thus growth.
Which Svetis shoe model best defines the brand?
Svetis' most iconic style is undoubtedly the Svetis Double Lace. It was a design that people loved and helped us differentiate ourselves. It remains a staple in all our collections!
What role do trends play in the creation of collections?
Trends are essential for any fashion brand, as they provide inspiration and a foundation for deciding future collections ahead of time, taking into account what people will want to wear. However, trends aren't essential in creating collections, as our identity is more based on ourselves as individuals. That's why we're more guided by what we like, vintage fashion for example. It's a much broader combination than just trends.
Do you have any achievements from Svetis (although there are many) that you are especially proud of?
We're proud of everything we've created. At first, we created a trend with Venetian blinds in Spain, but from there, we've continued to grow and created a brand and an identity. It's incredibly powerful to think we've built a company from scratch! On the other hand, we've provided jobs and opportunities to wonderful people, we've opened our brand in different countries around the world, and we've met so many interesting people. Above all, we're proud to have carried out this project as sisters with a great, close-knit team!
What does the future hold for Svetis?
We hope to grow a lot in product and also as a brand!
